Universal Principles of Design

These posters are based on the book Universal Principles of Design, my class teamed up to create a series of posters to promote the book. Each student was assigned a principle that they had to create a poster around. I had the concept of “Mapping.” The goal was to figure out how to display the information correctly while staying on the theme of the book and keeping in mind it would have to relate to the rest of the class’s posters. I chose to make the number of the principal very large. If the poster was hanging in a gallery I wanted it to catch the viewer's eye. From there I moved around the text and tried to get creative with the imagery.
